Dior Forever Foundation

After being unhappy with the foundation I was currently using, I decided to have a look around for one that would provide good coverage for my oily-combination skin, not make my spots worse but not dry my face out. After much deliberation I decided to opt for Dior Forever.

This may sound like a strange thing to say about a foundation but the first thing I thought when applying it is that it smelt gorgeous! This just makes it nicer to put on as it feels refreshing and almost perfumed. It’s quite a light texture but you can build it up to get a good coverage. It’s bright and fresh on your face. It doesn’t looked cakes on but sinks into your skin, creating a really natural finish. I got colour 010, which is a perfect match for my skin tone; you can hardly tell I’m wearing foundation (except that it’s covered up all my flaws/ spots and made my skin tone even- but no one needs to know that it’s not natural!). I hate ones that look heavy or that don’t blend into your skin well- it defeats the point of wearing foundation if it’s really obvious!

I also like that it’s got an SPF 25 in it- I think it’s really important to have a sun factor on your face every day to protect from sun damaging elements and to help prevent wrinkles.

This is the most natural-looking foundation that I’ve ever had, I do really like it. The only negative thing I can say about it is that I would like a slightly heavier coverage sometimes, but adding powder over the top combats this so it’s not too much of a big deal. There is also a Dior Forever powder that I might try as it will compliment this foundation nicely.

I know it’s pricey but it’s definitely worth paying it for the quality; your skin really does look and feel silky smooth.

What do you think? Have you ever tried this foundation? Do you have any other foundation recommendations for oily/combination skin?

Price: £31

  1. This sounds amazing! I also have oily skin and find some foundations start to slide around and look shiny through out the day. The one I use is the Clinique anti-blemish foundation, it really helps control shininess - my holy grail!

  2. Yes, I've tried that one too- the Dior Forever is not as heavy in coverage so you do need to apply a bit more in some places, but i'm very happy with it overall! Thanks for commenting hun! xx
