Blotting Sheets

Keeping Shine at Bay

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have quite oily- combination skin. This means that a few hours into the day, naturally my face goes quite shiny.

I’ve only just discovered blotting sheets. They are a really simple and purse-friendly way to get rid of oily skin throughout the day. They come in a little booklet (as shown in the photos) and you simply tear a page off when you can see that your face is shiny, and then dab it on to that area. It will automatically soak up the oil and leave your face looking matte again.

They are great to keep in your handbag, they really are a little saviour for when you’re at work or at an event (I use these the most at weddings and similar events where you’re there for a long time, want to look nice and there’s lots of photos!).

In sum, just a quick, easy and cheap way to combat oily skin and shine throughout the day!

Does anyone else suffer from shiny/ oily skin? If so do you have any tips to help combat it? Has anyone else discovered blotting sheets?

Price: Approx £1-2

  1. Blotting sheets are a must for me! I'd recommend the Tea Tree blotting sheets from The Body Shop. They're a little pricey but work a treat x

    1. Yes definitely, that's when I use them- I won't leave the house without either foundation or powder on! They don't take your makeup off at all, they just absorb the grease/oil on your face (lovely I know!) x x

  3. I would stock up on the Kleenex ones now if you like them, they're being discontinued :( I rely on blotting sheets too, such a pain being so shiny! :P
