Here are a few of items that I've bought over the last month (not all at once thankfully!):
Dan Brown's 'Inferno' and Susan Ee's 'Angelfall' are two books that I've heard lots of good things about. My sister, who works in a bookshop and so clearly knows her stuff, recommended 'Angelfall', saying it was the best book she'd ever read and so I had to buy it after that recommendation! 'Inferno' also looks good and has good reviews on Amazon. I enjoyed Dan Brown's 'Da Vinci Code' and 'Angels and Demons' (although not 'The Lost Symbol' I must admit) so thought this would be a nice summer read.
I've read lots of reviews and articles in magazines featuring these Babyliss Curling Tongues and so decided to give them a go. I've never had or used curling tongues before and quite fancy a change, plus, at this price (£18), I think they're a bargain!
I also had a little trip to the MAC counter! I've never tried a MAC blusher before and so I'm quite excited about this one! The colour is Fleur Power, it's a peachy-pink colour that looked really good on my skin tone when I tried it in the shop; I can't wait to wear it! I also couldn't resist this MAC Lipstick. The colour is Creme Cup and it's a really pretty pink which looks quite girly but very natural on.
I fell in love with this neon Biba Handbag when I saw it. Neon adds a real pop of colour to every outfit but this bag does not look tacky at all. You can feel and see the quality close up, and it's a good size too. The Bohemia Satchell is also a bit of a naughty purchase, but the quality and the colour, as well as the practical nature of it (it's perfect for carrying papers and books in for uni) made it a justified one.
The Neon Necklace is from Primark and is a great little accessory to have as it ties in with all the neon bags/ shoes/ nail varnishes that I have been buying recently. The Orange Necklace is from a little stall at Portobello Market that I visited while in London for the Company Awards a few weeks ago. I love statement jewellery, it adds a fashionable touch to any outfit, and this orange one is a bit different.
I think it's fairly obvious from this post that I'm loving mint green at the moment! The Peplum Top is from Primark and was an absolute steal. As all peplum tops are, this one is really flattering on. The Comic Strip Crop Top is also from Primark. It'll look cute teamed with a maxi/ midi skirt, or some disco pants and high wedge trainers. The Black Beaded Crop Top is from Miss Selfridge. The detail and embellishments in this top are gorgeous, very 1920s; I feel very elegant wearing it. I have a lace midi skirt from Topshop that will go really well with it.
Being only 5 ft 1" I find Cropped Jeans hard to come by (most normal cropped jeans are full length on me!) and so these mint green ones in Next's petite range were a real find :) Finally, this Mint Green Skater Skirt from Primark was another bargain and will look gorgeous teamed wth a printed t-shirt and pumps.
What do you think of my purchases? What have you been buying recently?
