Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Gloss

When I first saw this Estee Lauder Lip Gloss I thought what a gorgeous colour it was- I love a light pink lip and generally wear more gloss than lipstick. However, it looks like it will be more pink on your lips from the colour in the tube than it is. When worn it produces a light pink tint but its more of a clear lip gloss than a pink one. I wouldn't mind this as I prefer my lips to be subtle, but this lip gloss is part of Estee Lauder's 'Pure Color' range which is supposed to have 'maximised colour impact'. I certainly did not get that impression from this particular gloss.

This shade is number 09 Rock Candy. It does have a lovely shine to it and does last a long time on your lips- around an hour on average. It's not sticky and it tastes nice- all of these are huge pluses for me when looking for the perfect lip gloss. I think this particular one is great if you just want a clear and tiny hint of colour, but it would be better over a lipstick if you wanted more of a pop of colour.

Overall I think it's a nice lip gloss, but there is not much colour in it. It would be good if you want a very subtle, almost clear, shine to put on your lips, but if you're looking for a more vibrant, coloured lip gloss then I'd look elsewhere. I will continue to use it on its own during the day or over a lipstick at night.

What do you think? Has anyone else tried any Estee Lauder lip glosses?

Price: £18 (Available to buy here)

Rosy x

  1. I've never tried Estee Lauder lip glosses before, it looks lovely, but for £18 I think I'd rather it delivered its promise of max colour impact or buy a cheaper clear gloss! :) x

    1. Yes I agree, I will be looking elsewear for a more pigmented light pink lip gloss! xx
