Clothes Haul

With spring finally starting to make an appearance, I've decided to have a big clear out and update my wardrobe. For me, it's really important that clothes are comfortable as well as flattering and fashionable (probably in that order) and I've been pleasantly surprised to find a lot of shops are fitting the bill perfectly with their current offerings. I'm particularly loving Zara at the moment, which is probably my favourite clothes shop, but also Topshop and Asos. These are the clothes that I've bought over the last couple of weeks...

Primark is great for tops and basics; I always get simple tops from here as they look more expensive than they are. These camis were only £5 each and have a built-in support bra and detachable straps, so will be perfect for teaming with statement skirts and trousers, or under see-through tops when I'm not feeling brave! I also picked up this 'Bra First Aid Kit' which was only £4 as the nipple covers and tape will be perfect for any backless dresses (like one that I've got from Zara- see below!).

I'm loving plain white tops at the moment as they go with absolutely everything and look good. I love the texture of this one from H&M, and the fact that it's quite thick because it's still not that warm outside! These joggers are great because they can be dressed up with a nice white top and wedge boots, or down with pumps or trainers. They're riduculously comfy too!

Topshop Leigh jeans have been on my wish list for well over a year now and I've just never made the purchase. I decided to finally go for it this month and bought not one, but two pairs! They're great as they're a little bit stretchy so will be comfier than pure denim jeans, and are super skinny so very flattering as they suck you in a bit!

Save the best until last! I could literally buy the whole shop in Zara at the moment. I absolutely love the clothes in there. They're very chic, quite plain (apart from the statement dress above!) and all look designer. I particularly love the backless purple dress as it made me feel so sexy and feminine, and the statement t-shirt dress as it just looks really cool. The peach coat is also perfect for spring- I've been looking for a pastel coat that I love all winter and I'm so pleased that I've finally found one. The length is perfect for me as other ones I've seen are a bit too long for my 5 ft 2" height!

What do you think of my items? What have you been buying?

  1. I love the t-shirt dress you got from Zara and I agree they have some fab things in there at the moment, it's really not good for my bank balance! x

  2. Oh you got some gorgeous pieces! I adore Zara, I wish I could afford to have my whole wardrobe from there! Haha!

  3. Looks like you got some great purchases! I love the H&M top and the Zara picture kind of dress is really nice. I've tried many times to get rid of some clothes, but it's so difficult! XxxX http://thesecondhandrose.blogspot.co.uk
