A New Hair Cut At The Hepburn Hair Project, Manchester

If you live in Manchester and are looking for a new hairdressers, I can wholeheartedly recommend  The Hepburn Hair Project on Oxford Road. It's a new salon that's only been open about 13 weeks so it's really modern and nice inside. The hairdressers themselves have years of experience: Vicky (the manager) who cut my hair, has 11 years and John has 25 years. So it's safe to say you're in good hands. It's also right near the Student Union so it's easy to get to.

The salon itself is really welcoming and friendly, I felt very comfortable and at ease with the staff, who made every effort to make sure that I had everything I needed. I had a cut and blow, which is priced at £35*, and I'm very happy with how it looks.

I felt very pampered having my hair washed; sat in a massage hair, having my head rubbed :) I then sat back with a cup of tea, chatting away to Vicky whilst she cut my hair and gave me lots of advice. I learnt quite a lot actually, for instance I shouldn't keep dying my whole head as the ends have many coats of colour on them but the roots have none, so in future I will be doing just my roots. She also recommended having a bleach shampoo done to help get rid of the built up colour on my ends, and that's definitely something I will be considering. I also saw some gorgeous photos of clients that had had an ombre colour done and I think I'll be getting that next!

They do quite a few deals as well:
10% student discount,
A special Friday offer where everyone can get their hair cut for £25,
A loyalty scheme where you get 50% off your colour on your third visit.
A loyalty scheme where you by 2 hair cuts and you get the 3rd free.

Overall, I'm really pleased with how they cut my hair and I will definitely be returning!

To book an appointment telephone: 0161 273 3330.

What hair cuts/ styles do you fancy having at the moment? What do you think about an ombre look?

  2. That's a good point to think about when you colour long hair - the ends will have so many layers of colour, I never thought about that!

  5. Salons always scare me. Having a relationship with your stylist is serious; that person has a pair of sharp scissors close to your head. Nice to know that you had a good experience! Still looking for my ideal stylist.
