OOTD: 3 Ways To Style A Maxi Dress

One dress, three different outfits...

Maxi dresses are a summer staple and are such a versatile item to have in your wardrobe. I've styled this lovely black, peplum one from Bon Prix 3 different ways, from very dressy to very casual.

Outfit 1: Elegant
Dress: Box Prix (here)
Black Pointed Heels: Miss Selfridge (similar here)

This is such a beautiful dress that it can be worn for a special occasion with a simple pair of black heels. For this outfit, I kept my look minimal, letting the dress do the talking. The peplum style makes it really flattering around the waist area, making you look slimmer whilst emphasising your curves at the same time. I felt classy and elegant, perfect for a ball or special occasion.

Outfit 2: Casual
Dress: Bon Prix (here)
Jacket: Primark (still in-store) (similar here)
Scarf: Burberry (similar here, here or here)
Trainers: Adidas Stan Smiths (here or here)

This outfit is super comfy and casual. I teamed the dress with my beloved Stan Smiths, white denim jacket and classic Burberry scarf making this a perfect shopping outfit. Again, its such an easy outfit, and I still felt quite chic!

Outfit 3: Classic
Dress: Bon Prix (here)
Coat: Stradivarious (bought in Portugal) (similar here)
Nude Heeled Boots: Office (similar here)
Scarf: Massimo Dutti (similar here)

Finally, this outfit is in-between the two previous ones; less formal than the dress on its own with heels, but more dressed up than with trainers. This outfit is one that I would wear when going out for drinks or for a nice meal. A beige trench coat is a wardrobe staple for me and it instantly makes the dress more casual. The boots contribute to the less formal evening look, but provide added height and keep it classy. Finally, a simple white scarf goes with any outfit and is great to throw on during those chilly evenings.

What do you think of my 3 outfits? Which one is your favourite?
