My Everyday Skin Care and Body Care Products

These are the products that I use on a day-to-day basis...

Morning

As soon as I have woken up and eaten my breakfast (see my favourite breakfast post here), I jump straight into the shower. Firstly, I wash my body with my current shower gel, which at the moment is this Nivea Powerfruit Delight one. I'm really liking this shower gel as it is quite thick and lathers up nicely, but a little bit goes a long way. Also, it smells amazing and is VERY affordable (it's on offer for £1 at Boots right now!).

I then use the femfresh daily wash*, which leaves me feeling very clean. The healthy pH-balanced formula, along with the soothing aloe vera, keeps my intimate skin happy and feeling fresh. I've been using this for years as you shouldn't use shower gel "down there" because intimate skin has a lower pH (4-4.5) than the rest of your body and is also very sensitive. But, I still wouldn't feel fully clean if I just washed with water so this is great to have.

I then wash my hair with the Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Coconut Shampoo* and Conditioner* (see my full review of these here). They make my hair smell a gorgeous coconutty scent and feel very soft and silky. Best of all, they are very affordable so perfect for washing my hair with during the week.

Lastly, I cleanse my face with the Ren ClearCalm 3 Clay Cleanser, which I've been using and loving for over a year now. They clay formula draws out all the impurities in my skin and unblocks all my pores. It wakes me up in the morning and my skin feels clean, but also soft and not too tight, afterwards.

When I get out of the shower I use the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic. This is the perfect toner to use after cleansing my skin as it's so gentle and soothing. I feel like it just calms my skin down after it has been thoroughly cleansed.

I then moisturise with the Elemental Herbology Moisture Milk. This, alongside the Ren Clay Cleanser, has made the biggest difference to my skin. It is the perfect moisturiser for tackling spots as well as keeping your skin hydrated and moisturised. It is oil-free, which is essential for me as any kind of oil in skin care products always breaks me out, and contains green tea as well as plenty of vitamins. It's pricey but it lasts quite a long time and is worth every penny in my opinion.

I then moisturise my body, using either The Body Shop Body Butters or the Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter. The reason I alternate between these two is because they both smell amazing and they are also very moisturising. I have quite senstive skin and so after I have shaved I have to be careful to apply body lotions that don't irritate me. I've never had a problem with any Soap and Glory or The Body Shop body lotions (but The Sanctuary ones really do irritate my skin!). Soap and Glory's The Righteous Butter is full of aloe vera and shea butter so is very hydrating and makes my legs feel really soft afterwards. It smells incredible and is Soap and Glory's best selling product for a reason. The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter is also really hydrating and makes my skin look, feel and smell amazing. I'm a big fan of the body butters and love going in store to smell all the different flavours and scents. The satsuma one is probably my favourite as it just smells delicious!

As it is summer, if I'm baring my legs I'll put a bit of tan on them every couple of days, or whenever I've got the time to. I always use either the Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream (read my full review here) or the Saint Tropez Gradual Tan. This is the one that I'm using at the moment and it dries very quickly and never streaks (I always apply it with a mitt to make sure!). It provides a gorgeous, golden tan after just a couple of hours, which is very convenient for me being able to quickly put it on in the morning and not have to wait ages for it to develop. The Clarins and the Saint Tropez tans mentioned here are both very hydrating, keep my legs feeling soft, and never go patchy, and for those reasons are my firm favourites.

Then onto my hair. After it's been towel dried, I put a bit of Aldi's Miracle Oil (which is argan oil) through the ends. This is Aldi's version of Morrocan Oil, and it's actually very good. To be honest, any hair oil containing argan oil will do wonders for your hair, but this one is very affordable and lasts forever. It has helped my hair look less dry and keeps it feeling soft. Plus, it smells like skittles- yum!

After the hair oil, I apply the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. I only use one pump and simply rub it into the ends of my hair when it's wet, working upwards but not going directly into the roots. The serum aims to smooth, condition and seal hair strands, penetrating deep into the hair to displace water to speed up drying and styling. I don't know how deep it penetrates my hair strands, but what I do know is that it makes my hair feel very soft and conditioned. It smells amazing too. Using this serum makes my hair much less frizzy, more sleek, and generally in much better condition. I don't know how but it makes my hair straighter and more styled as well. I am very low maintenance when it comes to hair products, so easy products that will make a big difference with minimal effort is exactly what I need.

I then spritz my hair with heat defence spray (the one I'm using right now isn't very good so I would love some recommendations if you have any!), and blast it with the hair dryer. Finally, I brush it with my Tangle Teezer and straighten it with my ghds.

Throughout the Day

Throughout the day I freshen up with the Soap and Glory Body Sprays (read my full review of the body sprays here). The body sprays all smell incredible and sink into the skin properly, making them last longer than aerosol body sprays. I keep one handy and apply it whenever I feel like it.

I also use the femfresh wipes*, which keep me feeling fresh all day. The gentle pH-balanced formula, with calendula & soothing aloe extracts, is perfect for a quick refresh whilst on the go, especially during that time of the month.

Evening

When I get home I take off all my makeup using the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil.  It does a great job of getting rid of all my eye makeup in particular. It doesn't sting my eyes at all and is very quick to use.

I then second cleanse with the Ren Clearcalm 3 Clay Cleanser. I try to leave it on my skin for as long as possible, like a mini face mask, and so often put it on and then brush my teeth. I then remove it using a hot flannel to make sure my face is super clean.

Before I go to bed I use the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner. This contains small amounts of glycolic, salicylic and tartaric acid which work together to gently exfoliate your skin and deeply cleanse your pores. It never makes my skin sting, it's simply refreshing, and it really hydrates, brightens and exfoliates my skin nicely. Since using this I have noticed that my skin is much clearer.

I follow this with the Liz Earle Toner to soothe and hydrate my skin further and to prep it for serum and moisturiser.

After the toners, I apply the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. I've been using this night repair serum for years now. It's brilliant at just providing your skin with an extra bit of TLC. I apply it  every night and it keeps my skin moisturised, bright and, in particular, I've noticed that it gets rid of redness and heals any blemishes.

I then leave it to dry for a minute before applying the Elemental Herbology Moisture Milk.

If I have any particular spots I apply the Eve Lom Dynaspot to them. The price tag is high, but I think you pay for a spot cream that will not irritate or anger your skin. Whilst this does not get rid of spots immediately, it certainly speeds up their lifespan and ensures that they last 2 days rather than 5. It also calms the inflammation down and gets rid of the redness, bringing the bacteria to the surface to remove it from your skin quicker. It works in a gentle way that gets rid of the spot without drying out your skin or damaging it.

Finally, I put the Soap and Glory Hand Food on my hands. This smells gorgeous (as all Soap and Glory products do!) but also keeps my hands feeling very soft and not chapped. It sinks in quickly and is not greasy, which is important to me as I then want to read my book straight after this routine and not get greasy hands on it!

What do you think about any of these products?
What are your go-to every day products?
